In addition to these ethical medicine and OTC brands we also work on corporate accounts, health awareness campaigns and direct-to-patient communication programmes for clinical trials.

 

The Patient Access and Retention Business Unit creates global communication programmes to assist many of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies in their clinical research activities. Langland is recognised as one of the leading agencies in this specialised field and has achieved international recognition for its creative work.


Primary Duties:


We are looking for an Account Executive to play a significant part in the delivery of creative solutions to patient access and retention challenges on a global scale. Working in a dedicated Business Unit and reporting directly to the Global Business Director, you will be responsible for the operational activities on a portfolio of diverse studies. The team is currently five strong but is being increased to seven. As an Account Executive, your project management responsibilities will include:

 

Working with clients, the Global Business Director and our in-house creative teams to create innovative marketing programmes for patient access and retention

Account planning including researching therapy areas and developing patient profiles; market research

Assisting with the preparation of creative briefs, briefing the creative team and assessing creative work against the brief

Managing the operational activities on a portfolio of clinical studies including translation and production tracking, proof reading and the distribution of materials to study sites across the world

Assisting with planning and booking media space for patient recruitment campaigns across all media including TV, press, radio and the web

Initiative and a ‘can do’ attitude

Excellent communication skills: both oral and written

Very strong organisational ability

Meticulous attention to detail

The ability to work well in a fast-moving, team environment

 

Candidates should have a minimum of a First or 2.1. in a first degree from a well-respected university. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who feel that they can add value in this area as a result of their academic studies or work experience. Applications from candidates with backgrounds in clinical research, communications, a life science, medicine, nursing, anthropology, cultural studies, languages or the delivery of healthcare services overseas (particularly Eastern Europe, Africa or Latin American) would therefore be welcomed.

Windsor is easily accessible by train from London. The journey from Paddington takes approximately 30 minutes, with a change at Slough, and Windsor can also be reached in under an hour from London Waterloo. Many of the existing team join this train as it passes through stations such as Clapham Junction, Putney, Barnes, Richmond and Twickenham. Windsor is also very conveniently situated for people living in Reading and surrounding areas, Ascot, Bracknell and Guildford to the South and towns such as High Wycombe, Chesham, Beaconsfield to the North.
